The writers fully admitted that it became very challenging trying to incorporate a "senior" starting in season 8 and continuing for the rest of the show.

It think it would have been very entertaining if they had been able to bring back Gorden kaye or Jeffrey Gardiner as the new senior, even if it only lasted one season.

The famous Gorden Kaye appeared twice in AYBS. 

His first appearance was as Mr. Tomiades, the friend of the Greek that Mrs. Slocbome was going to marry in S6E3.

His second appearance was in S7E4 as the secret photographer looking for a black plastic mac to wear.

The other possibility would have been to bring back Mr. Beauchamp (Jeffrey Gardiner). He ALSO appeared twice in AYBS.

He was one of the applicants that came in an interviewed in S7E1 "The Junior", and also the customer trying to buy gloves in S5E1 "Mrs. Slocombe Expects".

Any ideas regarding these or other actors to fulfill the senior position starting in season 8?
